You want to actively participate in the development of CUR3D and other RUHRSOURCE software? You always want to keep your RUHRSOURCE software uptodate with the latest releases? You always want to be one step ahead of others? Then we would like to welcome you to our user experience improvement program!
You do not have to do much to participate in the usability enhancement program. Just start your RUHRSOURCE software, for example CUR3D, and switch to the settings.
There you will find relatively high up the menu item “Program for improving usability”. Next to it is a field that you have to activate with a tick. Now save the settings by clicking the tick at the bottom of the dialog. And last but not least restart CUR3D.
If there are updates to the respective product, which have not yet been published as stable by the development, but still have beta status (one speaks of a release candidate), these are now downloaded and can be installed as usual. This will give you new features and enhancements that have not yet been released in the “stable” version.
If you want to stop participating in the usability enhancement program, follow these steps:
- Open settings
- Disable the box next to “Join the usability enhancement program”
- Save settings
Finished! Now you get back only “stable” program updates. We recommend uninstalling the software once and then downloading and reinstalling the latest stable version.
What else will change for me if I participate in the usability improvement program?
For example, what exactly happens in the background, you can read here.
